Get an inside look into Erik van Ingen’s trip to NCAA’s

VESTAL, N.Y. - Erik van Ingen traveled to Des Moines, Iowa to take part in the 1,500 at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The following video series is an all-access look at the three-time All-American as he prepared for and took part in his final collegiate meet. In the third and final installment of this all-access look into Erik’s trip, follow him as he competes in the final of the 1500. Watch him as he takes the podium as he concludes his BU career with a fourth all-american honor and get his insight after the race detailing what Binghamton University has meant to him.

van Ingen would go on to finish his career as a four-time, first-team All-American and seven-time NCAA Championship qualifier. He also qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.

In addition, he won seven individual America East Conference titles and anchored four first-place relay teams. He is the only Binghamton athlete to have broken four minutes in the mile, a feat he has reached three times.
