Staten Island, NY- On Sunday Sept. 30, 2012, the Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed at the 2012 College of Staten Island Invitational at Clove Lakes Park in Staten Island, NY. Both races were 5k or 3.1 miles. In the Women's Race, Kristy Bono of Essex County College in New Jersey won the race with a time of 19:45.34. There were 128 runners in the race. The top Medgar Evers College runner was Beatrice Bonhomme, who finished in 75th place, with a time 28:42.75.  Medgar Evers finished as a team in 16th place out of 19 total teams. Only 16 teams counted as points, therefore Medgar Evers College finished 16 out of 16 qualified scoring teams. In the Men's Side, MEC didn't score as teams due to having 2 runners compete. There were 113 runners competing in the Men's race. Here are the results from both races:
