The duo of freshman Izzi Batt-Doyle and junior Stephanie Van Pelt recorded top-10 individual finishes to lead the St. John's cross country team to seventh place out of 12 teams at the 2014 Metropolitan Cross Country Championships held Friday afternoon at historic Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. The Red Storm's finish marks a one spot improvement over last season and the first time since 2011 that St. John's has placed a runner in the top-10 at the Metropolitan Championships.
