The Houghton College Men's and Women's Cross-Country Teams were at Fortin Park in Oneonta, NY today to compete in the Empire 8 Championships, hosted by Hartwick College. The women matched their placing at the previous two Empire 8 Cross-Country Championships with a sixth place finish in a field of nine teams. Also in a field of nine teams, the men finished in fifth place, their second-best finish ever at an Empire 8 Cross-Country Championship. There were 95 runners in the women's race, which covered 5000m, and 101 runners in the men's race, which covered 8000m.
