RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - LIU Brooklyn men's track and field alum Brendon Rodney took part in the first round of the 200-meter dash at the 2016 Summer Olympics on Tuesday. Rodney finished his race in a time of 20.34, the fifth-fastest non-auto qualifying time of the heats. The former Blackbird narrowly missed out on an automatic qualifier in his heat, finishing third, and needed one of the top four times after the automatic qualifiers to advance to the semifinal round.
