Bronx, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed at the 2014 CCNY Invitational, held at Van Cortlandt Park. In the Women's Race, which was 6k (3.1 miles), Jennaya Hield of Essex Community College, won the race with a time of 24:33.6. The top Medgar Evers College runner, was Senior Kiwelewa Mlimwengu who finished in 82nd place with a time of 36:29.9. There were 26 schools and featured 144 student-athletes. In the Men's Race, which was 8k (5 miles), featured 136 student-athletes from 26 schools. Patrick Goldberg of the College of Mt. St. Vincent, won the race with a time of 28:29. The top Medgar Evers College finisher was Sophomore William Joyette with a 50th place, and a time of 32:34.2. Here are the results for both teams.
