Brooklyn, NY- The Medgar Evers College Department of Athletics & Intramurals, celebrated the 2014 Student-Athlete Award Banquet earlier tonight. Their were 12 team awards given out, along with 11 other big awards. Among the prestigous guests at the event, were CUNYAC Commissioner Zak Ivkovic, President of Medgar Evers College Dr. Rudolph Crew, and Director of the Athletics & Intramurals Renee Bostic.The two big awards handed out tonight, was the Male Athlete of the Year, given to Junior Forward/Center Valin Williams of the Men's Basketball team, and the Female Athlete of the Year was Junior Samantha Brathwaite of the Women's Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field.
