In 2004, a small cluster of students, including what would come to be a pair of standouts for the varsity squad founded the College of Staten Island Cross-Country program after a long absence at the school. A pair of years later, in 2006 for the women and in 2007 for the men, CSI's newest varsity sports were formed, and little more than a half decade or later, the program is set to pounce on what could be history at the College by way of a CUNYAC Championship this weekend at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
