COUGARS CROSS TEAMS COMPETE AT 2013 CUNYAC/US ARMY MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Bronx, NY- On a beautiful Sunday morning, the 2013 CUNYAC/US Army Cross Country Championships were held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY. Their were two races, the Women's Event which was 6k or 3.7 miles, and the Men's Race which was 8K or 5 miles. In the Women's Race, Nailya Nuralina of Baruch College, won the race with a time of 25:33. Out of a field of 75 runners and 9 Senior Colleges, Medgar Evers College finished 9th with 269pts. Freshman Bianca Johnson was the top Cougar runner, finishing in 28th place, with a time of 30:02. In the Men's Race, the College of Staten Island Andrew Pate won the race, finishing with a time of 29:18. Medgar Evers College finished in 9th place with 267pts. Out of 87 runners, Freshman William Joyette finished in 34th place, with a time of 32:58. He was the top Cougar runner. Here are the results of how the Cougars finished in their respective races.
