New York, NY- The 2013 CUNYAC/Con Edison Outdoor Track and Field Championships got under way earlier tonight. After Day 1 of a 2 Day meet, the Men are in 2nd place with 71.5pts. The Women are currently in 8th place with 2pts. Leading the way for the Men's team is Senior Elston Alexis with two 1st place finishes and racking 20pts. Sophomore Vondel Mahon posted career marks in Discus and in Javelin. Mahon racked up 14pts. On the Women's Side, Sophomore Samantha Brathwaite and Junior Tomika Butters each earned a point.
