The Bearcat men were 18th out of 42 teams in their event while the women were 10th out of 40 squads.

The Lehigh Paul Short Run attracts many of the top cross country programs in the East as well as other programs from the South and Midwestern parts of the country. Junior Matt Johnson was 71st overall (24:57), senior Jesse Garn was 87th (25:06), senior Andrew Roache was 143rd (25:32) and junior Nate Kozyra was 178th (25:43).

There were 358 finishers in the men s gold race, with the winning time of 23:38 being turned in by Mike Biwatt of American International. Navy won the team title with 95 points.

Hatcher, meanwhile, recorded a time of 22:01 for the 6,000-meter course. Sophomores Alana MacDonald and Eileen O Hara were 89th and 91st respectively (with times of 23:06 and 23:07), freshman Allison Davis was 94th (23:09) and junior Anna Corrigan was 104th (23:16).

Up next for the BU men s team is the Princeton Invitational on Oct. 18. The Bearcat women, meanwhile, are at the Albany Invitational the same day.
