ONEONTA, N.Y.—Buffalo State will compete in the SUNYAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships this Friday and Saturday on the campus of Oneonta. Both teams will look to improve on fifth-place finishes a year ago.

The Buffalo State Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will recognize its seniors and honor its MVPs and major award winners at its annual awards banquet this evening in the Social Hall in the Campbell Student Union.

ITHACA, N.Y.—Buffalo State competed in its final tune-up meet of the season today, lining up against Division I competitors at the Cornell Big Red Invitational.

ROCHESTER, N.Y.— Robert Liebel (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) won the 200-meter dash and helped the 4x100-meter relay cross first as Buffalo State competed today at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic.

BEREA, Ohio-Javon Biggs (Coram/Longwood) won the long jump with a mark of 6.71 meters to highlight the docket for Buffalo State today at the Sparky Adams Invitational hosted by Baldwin Wallace.

On February 27, Mohamed Kouyate (pronounced koo-YAH-tay) won the SUNYAC championship in the indoor 400-meter dash, but if it weren't for an unexpected invitation and a choice he made six years earlier, he would have never had the opportunity to compete.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va.—Buffalo State finally opened its outdoor season this weekend at the Christopher Newport New Captains Classic, after having its first two meets cancelled due to weather.
