FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Strong performances at the Mary Washington Battleground Relays this past weekend has Highlander Head Coach Matt Dougherty pleased and puts the team into a good position heading into the Empire 8 Championships later next month.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Forty-two Houghton College student-athletes were named to The Empire 8 Athletic Conference President’s List for maintaining a 3.75 grade point average during the Fall 2012 semester.

The Empire 8 Athletic Conference (E8) has announced the 2013 Indoor Track and Field All-Conference honorees. The E8 recognized 39 men and 40 women who represent the conference’s seven institutions who sponsor the sport.

HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton women's track and field athlete Mary Strand (Falconer, N.Y. / Falconer HS) has been honored as the NCCAA Female Track and Field Athlete of the Week after her performance at the Brockport State Invitational.

BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- With several personal records, two school records and three NCCAA qualifiers, the Highlander men's and women's track and field teams had a strong showing at the Brockport Invitational on Saturday.
